Bio-Sketch: a new medium for interactive storytelling illustrated by the phenomenon of infection
We present the prototype of Bio-Sketch, a novel progressive sketching system designed to ease the creation of animated illustrations, as exemplified here in the context of the infection phenomenon. Our solution relies on a new progressive sketching paradigm that seamlessly combines 3D modeling and pattern-based shape distribution to create background volume and temporal animation control.
NEM: Nested Explorative Maps
Prototype of Nested Explorative Maps, a new 3D sketching tool dedicated to the interactive design in architecture. This system enables coarse-to-fine sketching of nested architectural structures to promote progressive sketching of a 3D building from floor plan to interior design. In addition, it allows for the visual representation of uncertainty as well as the interactive exploration of the alternative, tentative options.
Online user study on perception in sketch sample
Online user study to infer design choices for “Structured shape-patterns for a sketch a multi-scale approach”.
This study helped us validates our 3 perceptual hypothesis:
- H1: groupings are relevant
- H2: repetitiveness is explicit
- H3: Non-overlapping shapes should remain disjoint
