New system dedicated to interactive design in architecture. We focused on coarse-to-fine design of nested architectural structures based on sketch inputs. We innovate by using uncertainty marks to help the user explore alternative options.
Shape Analysis/Synthesis – General
Starting from a distribution of sketched shapes as input, we analyze the partition of shapes to identify the main directions and alignments. Based on this data, we propose a new solution for synthesizing the distribution in an extended 3D domain in which the user can navigate.
Interactive storytelling – Cellular biology
New progressive sketching system designed to ease the creation of animated illustrations. We combine 3D modeling and
pattern-based shape distribution to create background volume and temporal animation control, enabling narrative design experiments for educational applications in biology
