Hi there! I am Pauline Olivier, a software engineer with a PhD in Computer Graphics.
If you’re wondering where this photo was taken, it’s in Seoul. By the way, I highly recommend this destination, both for the contrast between historic and modern buildings and for the food (even if it can be quite spicy). I have mainly traveled in Europe, but also a little in North America. If you would like to discuss your travel preferences or simply chat (work-related topics or not), please feel free to contact me at the following address:

I have always been fascinated by images and visual effects, whether in rendering, animated films, or special effects. In my spare time, I love to draw and paint, enjoying the feeling of creating something from a blank sheet of paper (even if it more or less corresponds to what I had planned initially). This led me to study Computer Science at ENSIMAG, then to specialize in Computer Graphics during my PhD at École Polytechnique.
In my thesis, I focused on using sketches to help users model, animate, and eventually create interactive storytelling. Each project began with a preliminary study aimed at understanding professional needs, followed by successive iterations on a WebGL prototype, and finally a user study to validate the ease of use of our model. Please check the project posts and/or the research tab for an overview. This thesis helped me improve in effective communication and project management.
After completing my PhD, I studied the deformation of objects as part of a postdoctoral position to broaden my field of research. Then I joined the industrial sector in the Production Maintenance team of the Seating department at Amadeus. This allowed me to gain more experience in industrial projects, crisis management, teamwork, and code development for a larger project.
